At FFIM FREIGHT BROKER LLC, we believe that excellence in Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) is fundamental to our business operations. The safety and well-being of our employees are a priority, and we are committed to providing a safe workplace where the risk of injuries, illnesses, and incidents is minimized. Furthermore, we aim to reduce the environmental impact of our activities and adopt sustainable practices in all aspects of our operations.

Objectives

1. Compliance: Adhere to all applicable Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) laws and regulations.

2. Awareness: Enhance SHE awareness among employees through effective communication and training.

3. Accident Prevention: Review and analyze workplace accidents and incidents to implement corrective actions that prevent unsafe practices or conditions.

4. Risk Minimization: Prevent and minimize SHE risks through continuous improvement in processes and practices.

Safety Measures and Practices

• Monthly Safety Meetings: We conduct monthly safety meetings attended by Section Heads to review the previous month’s safety activities and ensure ongoing adherence to safety measures.

• No Smoking Policy: To avoid fire hazards, "No Smoking" signs are displayed in all areas, and smoking is prohibited during working hours, both within our premises and at client locations.

• Fire Safety: Fire extinguishers are strategically placed throughout the facility, and all workers and supervisors are trained to use them effectively.

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): We provide gloves, boots, hard hats, and other PPE to prevent injuries and ensure employee safety.

• Weekly Safety Meetings: Sectional Heads hold weekly meetings with workers to emphasize safety measures, identify violations, and discuss ways to handle potentially dangerous situations.

• First Aid: First aid kits are available at the workplace, and our packing crew carries them during external jobs. We also ensure that gas cylinders are moved to safer locations before work begins.

• Health and Insurance: Employees are covered by insurance, with compensation for medical expenses or loss of life. Periodic medical checkups are provided at the company’s expense.

• Vehicle Safety: Our fleet of 35 trucks is regularly checked and certified to meet pollution control standards. All drivers and passengers are insured and covered for accidents.

• Supervisory Inspections: Supervisors conduct surprise checks to ensure safety measures are adhered to at client locations and job sites.

Environmental Policy

We are committed to environmental protection and continually improving our environmental performance. Our environmental management system is aligned with ISO 9001:2008 standards, and we aim to minimize the environmental impact of our operations.

Key Environmental Goals

1. Waste Reduction

   • Reduce: Minimize paper usage by eliminating unnecessary forms, reducing report sizes, and reusing paper whenever possible.

   • Reuse: Reuse paper, envelopes, and folders, as well as other office supplies.

   • Recycle: Set up clearly labeled recycling bins to collect paper, cardboard, and other recyclable materials. We also ensure that we recycle electrical equipment, oils, and other waste materials.

2. Energy and Water Conservation

   • Encourage energy-saving practices such as turning off lights when not in use, using energy-efficient fluorescent bulbs, and configuring computers to enter sleep mode.

   • Promote water conservation by minimizing water wastage during activities like dishwashing or handwashing.

3. Pollution Prevention

   • Avoid the use of hazardous chemicals and use environmentally friendly cleaning products whenever possible.

   • Promote the use of recycled packing materials and manage waste and debris responsibly.

   • Ensure compliance with environmental laws and encourage staff and suppliers to actively participate in environmental conservation efforts.

4. Transportation Efficiency

   • Encourage regular vehicle maintenance to reduce pollution and improve fuel efficiency.

   • Support the use of eco-friendly practices in packaging, waste management, and service delivery.
